Life

It is Sunday evening. We are grateful for the Sabbath. Preparing for teaching takes hours so it is nice to turn the focus elsewhere. We had our first week. Everyone told us that we would fall in love with our students almost immediately and they were right. These young people have a great spirit about them. One of my students told me after class, "teacher, I feel like I know you before, you seem so familiar". I said to him "then I am sure we will be good friends" I would have loved to tell him what he was really feeling but he will recognize it when the truth is allowed to come his way.

Dad is the new Elders Quorum President and I am over the Young Women, I have three girls, almost the same size as our YW at home. It will be interesting to see how they take care of activities etc. Two of the girls live over an hour from the church and school here is very demanding. Dad was sustained over the phone today. A member of the Stake Presidency from Bejing called ask for a sustaining and then the Branch President reported the vote. District Conference was also over the phone let week with speakers calling in from all over China. There were thirty phones and over 700 people listening in.

I am starting to come out of what feels like a time warp or as I told Dad I feel like I am having an out of body experience.
