someday there will be a picture of a tractor

Jessica is home from the hospital. She needed an overnight stay to get her pain under control. She rested well last night, this is a real blessing. We are getting very good at getting in and out of bed and doing potty runs. Jessica has a great attitude and is a real trooper.

Dad is holding down the farm, it is cold and wet, but apparently the garden doesn't care. He even had to turn the heater on in the studio yesterday. The tomatoes are finally starting to ripen. Hopefully a couple of good friends will take Nelson through canning tomatoes the first time and then he will take it from there. The blackberries are easy because they just need to be frozen, the plums will be frozen and if he gets really brave in his canning exploits he will tackle plum nectar. The cucumbers have gone crazy and of course the zuchinni, we have some beautiful winter squash and great potatoes. We may even get a crop over the corn that blew over in the wind storm.

Tractors are our new thought process. We have needed one for years but our children knew that we wouldn't consider one until we were empty nesters. Nelson found a beautiful orange tractor which we are really considering. I'm so excited. I love the feeling of power a tractor gives me.
