Yesterday afternoon, Jessica was hit from behind by a little boy riding a skateboard. She was holding Katie and both went down. Jessica broke her ankle and femur, Katie was spared any injury. Jessica will go into surgery on Tuesday to have everything pinned together. Most of you know Jessica is about six weeks from delivering her baby. The hospital checked out the baby and she is fine.
Stephen and Rosie were able to go up to Logan last night and will help with the kids today and build ramps at the house. Melani will get there tonight after she finishes teaching school and Michael will drive me down on Saturday. We are blest that family is close by to help out and that I have a flexible schedule. My stay will be open ended we will take things as they come. Jessica will not be able to put any weight on the leg for six weeks which puts her right up to delivery of little Sage Lorenzi.
Life certainly gives some interesting twists and turns.
