Pictures are backwards from finished product to start but oh well . Here is the cold box planted, watered and ready to grow tasty vegetables.

My friend Donna Trussell came to show us the where to's and what fors of cold box gardening, she is in the pink shirt.

These are the boxes yesterday, Dad put them together a couple of weeks ago and the weeds loved it they were big and flowereing.

See how happy they are. I cleaned the weeds out, tilled the ground and put lot's of good compost in.

These are my parsnips from last year. They over-wintered and look fabulous, I can't wait to cook them. The first fresh in the spring is always nice. Yesterday I planted carrots and spinach. The rhubarb should be ready to cut next week.

My friend did a hot box with a heat pad in the soil and the glass on top and she had tomatoe plants with tomatoes by march. I love to see new ideas about gardens.
