Lesson From Nature

This morning on my run I saw a rather large bird flying overhead and though it might be a hawk, it was so graceful and really beautiful.  I marveled in the moment until it landed and I saw it was a large black crow, and my attitude changed.  I thought isn't that interesting that a moment of wonder was changed because of a prejudice.  Crows are so common so everyday, hawks aren't.  Hmmmmmm!  Or maybe after some thought I wondered if we label people an old crow; then we see them soar and realize they have great potential when they fly. Or maybe when we look up life is really a lot more inspiring or....  Anyway, I hope I remember the moment and see the beauty of common things more often.
