Allison Krauss has been going all day to inspire the deep clean of the kitchen. I would post pictures but it doesn't look much different unless you look thru all the cupboards and drawers. I am trying to have less visual clutter so I did do some changes to the tall shelves by the table but I don't like the results yet so when I get something I like I will take a picture.
I am starting a pile in the play room of STUFF. I won't do anything with it until the kids go thru it and see if they need more stuff. If not I will have a half day garage sale and buy shoes or something fun with the money. I have decided some of my kitchen tools can be stored someplace else. I don't want to get rid of them because the once or twice times I use them in the year I love them but they are going to go with the other seasonal tools like canning stuff.
I am simplified the framing of family photos, still not sure what I'm going to go with but but I am getting rid of the one thousand and one different and very eclectic frames.

Why don't you paint the frames? Spray primer and paint makes a straightforward job of it, and I've seen a whole lot of gallery walls of frames with a wild assortment of shapes & textures, but unified by color. I have one in the girls' room upstairs . . . they're all a minty green in their frou-frou room, and it's lovely. I'm starting a collection of thrift store frames painted black for the living room (I'm going to classic & sophisticated, and something to punch up the white furniture and white walls), as well.
Whatever you do, have fun! ;o)
I'd buy your frames at your half day garage sale. Any thing to contribute to your shoe cool-ection :)
