The snow on the picnic table in front measures about 18 inches.

Stephen's birdhouse.

The fence in the sheep pasture.

We are storing a neighbors tractor, Dad wanted me to tell Michael we had made a trade but anyone who knows me knows I would never trade a red tractor for a blue one.

Dad going down the dip. I thought the snowshoes would keep us a little higher up on the snow but they are a lot nicer for staying steady. I had a great workout. I don't think my face has ever been this beet red.

No water bottle needed the snow is beautiful and clean.

All the fence posts have caps.

Natures own version of a Christmas wreath.

Check out the cap on top of this small pine.

We went this morning so I could come home and shower before I run errands this afternoon. I was wet with sweat.

Dad blazed the trail all the way, here we are almost to the top of the hill and home again. We went all the way to Dorothy's fence line on the north. We used the cross country poles, I will use a shorter hiking pole next time. I love the poles, I hike with a lot more confidence, not that I still don't trip and fall down but the snow is soft.

Jungle Mountain is covered, under the satellite dish is another world, it looks very cozy. I hope some skunk hasn't discovered it.

The two apple trees in the back yard. If you come this winter there are both a men's and a women's pair of snowshoes. If you can fit in my size 8 hiking boots your set with the women's, dad wears a 10 1/2 to 11 hiking boot.

Wow Mom! Those are amazing pictures!
That looks like a lot of good fun and great exercise. I'd trade the blue tractor for the red one!
That is breathtaking! Aunt Jeanne you need to write a book. I love hearing about all of your experiences!
