Monster Squash

The end of harvest, this is what happens when you ignore your zuchinni plant. The tomatoes are in dad's studio hopefully they will ripen and can be canned. Mowed the lawn maybe for the last time. The flowers still look great. Dad had to turn the heater on in his studio this morning.

I love autumn in Sandpoint. It's been years since I've been up during the fall. I have great memories of crisp weather and constant canning. Love ya!

Ok....I'm not a fan of fall. I say waterslides and popsicles all year!! We also turned on the heater this week. Of course we've been sleeping with our winter blankets since mid-Aug. Those zucchinis are HUGE. Can they be eaten, or are they for seed?

We too have monster squash, that's what happenes when I have a baby and Ryan is too busy to remeber that we have a garden. I am sad to see the garden season end, but I am ready for winter.
