Mel's Inspiration

Nathan at the top of the falls.

Aunt Mel and Clara.
Sherrie, Clara and Nathan. There was only one place Sherrie didn't fell comfortable hiking too and that was down to the river. The falls are behind Melani and the kids. Next trip we will remember, binoculars, something to do rubbings with and a first aid kit; Clara biffed it on the bridge. Also a bird book would have been nice. We learn as we go.

Mel came home from England and Scotland and had decided we needed to get to know the beauties we are blessed with a little more intimately. My friend Cassie had just that day posted a blog about a great guide book for hikes in our area. Our first outing was a to Myrtle Falls which was described as a family friendly hike. I'm a sucker for a waterfall. It wasn't our original destination but we got lost and ended up at this hike, it was a good mistake. We had a great afternoon. Mel and I have decided to go once a week to explore a new destination. On our way we listened to stories David recorded for the kids about his growing up. There was a whole lot of them about hiking with people he loves. Renee, David still thinks you are amazing for that trip to Nakaweep.

I don't know why but I feel like the first photo of nathan should be one dads paintings. When the page loaded I thought it was already a painting. I want to go one of the hikes when i get up there with MAX!

First off, every family needs an Aunt Mel - where do I sign up!

Great pictures and I am glad to hear you are off exploring. What fun!
