New Kids On the Block

Just as I am grateful for perfect sisters in-law, I have also been blessed with perfect kids in-law. Sherrie, David's wife had her birthday on the fifth. As I was visiting with her about she and David's plans for the evening it struck me how well yoked both of them are (dinner and a Messiah sing-along, perfect for them). Then I thought about the other spouses and came to the same conclusion. Each couple is so unique and different from the others but they are so right for one another and really make each other happy. The Lord has really blessed our children so far with fabulous spouses. Four down three to go.


This is Ryan, Marian's husband. With their marriage he took over Jessica's spot as the oldest. He now gets to take the blame for all things as the oldest child. He is a great husband , father and son. He is an extraordinary rock climber and pretty much a genius. He has a tremendous work ethic. I teased Ryan before Isaac came that the Lord would give him at least six daughters because he knew how to treat them so well. Sherrie is second from the right. She brings sanity to the David Boren household with her calm and maturity. She is a lover of a good romantic movie. She is an a accomplished pianist and although reserved not too much gets past this girl. She is a great Mom. She also can memorize a movie line with a one time hearing if it strikes her fancy. She is a mazing.
All the kids love Uncle Brian, he plays a mean game of what time is it Mister Fox, Star Wars, soccer......etc. In other words there is always time for the kids. Anyone can talk to Brian. He works really hard at making people happy. He has been accused of being a little mushy and writes a "mean" love poem. He makes Jessica happy.
Aunt Rosie the newest recruit is the perfect wife for Stephen. She is a woman of courage (you should see her on a snowboard), and knows how to have fun, but also knows when to buckle down and do the work. She is a rocket crocheter and has started her own business. The grandkids think Rosie walks on water.
